The Perfect Regift

What started as a Christmas present is now being used as a Father's Day gift.

For Christmas, Dad wanted to get me something that I would like, but also that would have a deeper meaning than just your typical "Christmas present." As I am a professional coffee connoisseur (self-labelled, of course), Dad knew what he was doing when he went into Google Docs and came up with a list of local coffee shops for us to visit. Now, whenever someone hands you a manilla folder with a serious look on their face early in the morning (Christmas morning at that), you don't tend to be filled with excitement at the prospect of what's awaiting you in said folder. However, this was a very welcome surprise. It was perfectly thoughtful, and definitely something that I knew I would enjoy. I didn't have to fake excitement or anything!

Which, as my father's daughter, I wouldn't have done very well...

It's coming on Father's Day, and I'm halfway (all the way?) across the world, so I wanted to give my dad something that showed how meaningful our little coffee outings are to me. We've discussed (numerous times) the idea of reviewing the places we visit, but we never put pen to paper. All reviews thus far are a (nicer) rendition of discussions that took place, but just to be safe–

This serves as a public disclaimer that all reviews are subject to change given that 1) we visit the shops again, and 2) my dad has yet to send me his honest reviews :)

and with that, Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Love,

Soph
